I know the better thing to say would be that you can reason with everyone, but that simply wouldn’t be true. Some people have built their worldview in a way that is diametrically opposed to the way you view things.
And, that’s okay.
I think the problems really occur with everyone thinking that everyone else should think the way they think, which is hard when you have a society built around individualism and personal liberty.
The smarter approach is to present your information, state your case and facts, and hope someone is listening. Don’t devolve into ad hominem attacks against individuals, which is entertaining to some, but does not address the problem.
Win with your ideas. Know when to step back.
It seems like the rational thing to do.
